Horrible version.. too far away from the original
Adam’s singing is so beautiful. Brigadoon’ is still my fave of all his singing though.
he does this every year hes jewish and i guess they saw him one day and wanted him
I’m Israeli and i’ve got to say I was shocked when I saw this.
This is the BEST version, ever
i’m an israeli, and i must say…this is the best version that i ever heard!
As an Isralei this is the best performnace of this song, THE BEST!!!
Love Adam <3
You know, I have to kinda agree with gohag. Their individual singing is great, I jsut don’t really like the way the song was restructured. I think that’s really all he was getting at
wow!!!!
he sing this song so butiful!!
wow you sing so butiful an hebrow!!!
I think it would have been alot better if the chorus had stayed out of it. It did not become garbled until the chorus started. I also think that the chorus was out of tune with the lead singers. Adam’s & the other ladies’ performance was beautiful!!
I’m really shocked by your comment, gohag. I can think of many examples of singers performing (and recording) songs in other languages, and producing a charmingly garbled result, but I’ve never heard anyone slated so personally for trying it, especially for such a good purpose. For me, without having any idea what the words mean, this is a beautifully expressive and nuanced performance, that moves me whenever I hear it. Just my opinion!
Heh, I cannot sing like they do and I know I cannot reach their level, which is exactly why I will not do it. I guess you missed the whole point in my comment.
So let me rephrase it: Their heart WAS in the right place. And yes, I do appreciate their good will, when so many would not have even bothered, but you have got to understand what I came to criticize.
If you cannot dance, don’t expect to hear cheers. Either get better or stop whining.
Same goes to everything else in life.
Does being Israeli give you the right to bash and criticize? Let’s hear you sing this with the perfection you want and then I will judge you.
Being Jewish which I am has nothing to do with the fact that this is beyond amazing, touching, warm and truly an honor that he was asked to sing in honor of Yitzchak Rabin.
As an Israeli, who grew up with this song, I must say:
They ruined the song. Utterly and completely ruined it. I feel bad for saying this, because I believe they have only meant to honor Yitzchak Rabin’s memory in singing this, but they have no idea what the words are supposed to mean. And I am not even going to talk about pronouncing the words the right way.
Yes, they have great voices, but every professional should know his own limits and they most certainly do not.
Unbelievable! Breathtakingly beautiful!
i think in a recent interview that he had a friend that asked him to do it or something like that, and she taught him how to pronounce the words correctly because he doesnt speak hebrew… i think… dont quote me or anything though haha
My temple needs a new cantor… Adam I think ill volunteer you!
1:23 to 1:38 excellent
Adam is Really stunning …what a voice
How did Adam Lambert get picked to do this special performance in 2005? Was he well-known even before American Idol?
Adam is spectacular ! This song is simply stunning ! Adam & Noa sound fabulous together !
How fitting that Adam and Noa will again be together singing in honor of a great man and great cause. the vocals on here are just incredible (is adam trying to rock it out, dyt?). prayers to YR, congrats to SSpielberg.
Adam will be performing at the ADL’s fundraiser honoring Speilberg on December 9. God bless him and keep him safe in this new lifestyle of fame.
Another year, Dear Yitzhak… we will never forget you… in the darkness of our middle east, we will always look up for your shining light with the stars… Always praying for your soul.. Always having you in our hears…. Rest in peace Yitzhak… My mighty neighbor, my brother, my idol and my friend… Rest in peace Yitzhak.. we will take it from here, we will find peace even if every corrupted politician objected. promise you Yitzhak, we will see you dream coming true.
Yeah, and 2 days ago was the memorial day to that. 14 years.
actually the hope for peace is never gone, well I believe.. XD
most of the people think and hopes that one day will be peace.
