Please explain to me what is the difference between the two.
I have read some things about this council, but did not understand everything.
I also know that when the Copts rejected this council, they were persecuted & killed by their own Christian brothers!!!
The Church is not divided ! It stands on the same place where it stood for the past 2,000 years. Unfortunately, and I underline unfortunately, Coptic Church is not part of the One, Holy and Apostolic Church since 451 and there are no misunderstandings about that. Learn about the Ecumenical Councils and the Chalcedon Council. By the way, I am Christian Orthodox, or more precisely, Serbian Orthodox, but it doesn’t matter. I can be Greek, Russian or Alexandrian Orthodox… it’s all the same!

We believe in Christ as being both God & Human 100 % of the time. There was never a moment when Christ on earth stopped being either God or Man.
I also heard that the results of this council were a misunderstanding. But we do believe that Christ is BOTH Man & God 100 % of the time!

Yes, but unfortunately Coptic Christians, descendants of great Pharaohs of Egypt, are not part of the Church since the 4th Ecumenical Council in Chalcedon in 451. Even though it truly derives from the work of St. Apostle Mark , it is not part of the Church. On Chalcedon Council, It ruled that Jesus Christ doesn’t have “in two natures,” but is only God (not man at the same time). By adopting the wrong doctrine of Monophysitism they have excluded themselves from the Church of Christ.

Yes, there are some 3 or 4 percents of R Catholics in Serbia. They are mostly Hungarians… Serbs are, however, proud Orthodox Christians. Do I need to elaborate on that as well? And please do remember when you’re in touch with the Orthodox Christianity. There are no any “kinds of Christianity.” There is only one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and one and only Truth and that is the Orthodox Church with its 4 Patriarchates and Serbian, Russian, Greek, Romainan, Georgian etc. branches.

How is it possible that the Russian Orthodox Czars, who were the greatest protectors of the very same Apostolic faith since the fall of Constantinople in 1453, “stopped the evangelization of Russians to the Catholic Faith.” Do you mean that the Czars didn’t let conversion of the Holly Russia into Papist Heresy? Of course, they were against it, as they are now and as they will be always, because our Orthodoxy is the TRUTH!!!
I would so love that us Serbs, for instance, had that luck of Poles to be under attempts of conversion such as the Russians allegedly tried on you. Millions of dead Orthodox Christian martyrs killed by various Latin Heretics would agree with me. And you even dare to mention the facts. Haha!
Arriving in Vitebsk, on November,1623, with a band of his cohorts, Kuntsevich proceeded to knock down the tents where the Orthodox secretly held divine services. One of Kuntsevich’s deacons attacked an Orthodox priest. The crowd, which had run out of patience, turned on Kuntsevich, who was personally leading this pogrom, and beat him to death. Such was the inglorious end of the earthly life of this alleged “apostle of unity” as none other than Pope John Paul II shamelessly dared to call him.
The most convincing condemnation of Kuntsevich’s character is found in a letter from the Lithuanian chancellor Leo Sapiega, a R, Catholic representative of the Polish king, “By thoughtless violence you oppress the Russian people and urge them on to revolt… It would be better to be in Turkish captivity than to endure such persecutions for faith and piety. You write that you freely drown the Orthodox, chop off their heads, and profane their churches….”
This is a good example (Josaphat Kuntsevich) of the whole problem. See, the very memory of this most evil of personalities is inconceivably scandalous. Just before this “martyr’s end,” which occurred on November 12, 1623 in Vitebsk, Kuntsevich ordered the disposal of dead Orthodox by having their corpses exhumed and thrown to dogs. Is that something what a “saint” would do???
Yes, you do forcibly convert people. Balkans is full of that. Go inform yourself about Croatia (the country of forcibly converted Serbs). Croats speak our language, have our names and last names and everything is pretty much the same and yet they are the most aggressive R. Catholics. Find something about Jasenovac Camp in WW2 in which Franciscan monks killed close to 1 million Serbs. The policy of WW2 Nazi Croatia was to kill 1/3 of the Serbs, to convert the other 1/3 and expel the last 1/3.
